Helge Kaasin (born 1971) is a trained philosopher and has published the book Snø og granskog: Språk, ideologi og nasjonalromantisk raseri i norsk svartmetall (Snow and Spruce Forest: Language, Ideology and National Romantic Rage in Norwegian Black Metal) (2023). He is the creator of the radio programme Mørke meditasjoner (Dark medtations), a former music reviewer for the magazine Metal Hammer Norway, and has written several articles on the ideological stance of black metal, including on the website Mørke meditasjoner (morkemeditasjoner.no).
